Miami Shark

"Good"

submission: Miami Shark
date: October 7, 2009

Had you not put in the concept of a shark taking down aircraft i would have disliked it. Fortunately you did, and the game just became ridiculous, good ridiculous. I liked it.
A more satisfying ending would have been cool though.

Revelation is a scary book, my friend. You definitely get that point across. And it makes for good cinematics, too.
The gameplay was very good. The point and click strategy was extremely difficult and I got frustrated more than once (which I count as a good thing). However, there were a couple plot holes. Like, why can I walk freely around a field of death locusts? Why do I only have to fight them off once? And I read through that part of Revelation, and I didnt really see anything about zombies.
But other than that, the scenes were good, the story was good, the animation was really good, and the voice acting was...okay for the internet.
One last thing. Why is the Christian guy the pshyco creeper even in a Christian made game? doesnt that completely destroy the whole point?

Author's Response:

thanks for the cool comment,

I can't really answer all of your questions, one can only use their imagination to figure out the plot holes.... I can answer the question about zombies though, and that in the opening scripture, "death will flee from them" meaning you can't die no matter how hard you try. So they aren't zombies that'll eat your brains, they're just infected humans that are suffering with a desire to end their life. It's worse than being a zombie, you feel pain and can't end it... so I hope what scripture means...

The psycho using biblical references doesn't portray much a general meaning behind it. It's simply a story told under most possible circumstances. It mentions Satan's reign over the world deceiving others as the messiah in revelation. Whether or not that is permissible as a Christian theme is based on the judgement of motive I suppose....

You Only Live Once

"Awesome!"

submission: You Only Live Once

I think its brilliant. I know (or, i think i know) that you made this game not so much for the gameplay, but for incorperating the idea of total realism into a game. I think its smart, i think its innovative, i think its hilarious, and its actually a little artistic, and i love it.
And i generally dont like to speak that highly of things on my reviews.

a brilliant idea made better by making everything within the game correctly. I love the fact that your character is an elephant for seemingly no reason, and other little touches that made it good.

There She Is!! step4

"Well.."

date: August 29, 2008

I always try to reserve my 5s and 10s for cartoons that come once in a blue moon that begin a new path on NG and set the bar for other cartoons in the same genre.
Well, this was one of those cartoon.
Normally I would try to write an in-depth review that details all points, but all I can say about this one is that it is a masterpiece. Everything - the animation, music, plot, message, cliffhanger - is perfect.
10.

Brian's Got A Problem

"City of Light, City of Dark"

date: August 29, 2008

This Cartoon can be put into two halfs, Which I will review seperately.

1st Half - Beginning to first mention of Brian.
This was hilarious. I thought the dialogue between the coach and player was priceless, and extremely well excecuted. I commend the voice acting on the entire cartoon, I definitely thought it added to the atmosphere.
The thing some may view as a problem is the lack of animation. I actually loved it. It blended perfectly with the voice acting and conversation, and somehow made it more real.
This section gets a 5.

2nd half - First mention of Brian to Finish.
This section was...odd. The ending was just strange and too far drawn out. Quick shots, shouting, tongues, and blood funny does not make. I jus think more actual thought could have been put into this ending, maybe to make something a tad more clever and unexpected.
Well, this ending was slightly unexpected. But there's good and bad unexpected. I believe this was the bad kind.
This section gets a 1.

(That makes 6)

WoodMan Is Incredible

"Lost Potential"

date: August 29, 2008

There is humor in repitition. Always remember that.
This cartoon - not enough repitition.
What you had was definitely good - the speeches, the animation, the team rocket reference, the sound quality - it was all good.

But to make it great?
I would suggest to put more scenes of megaman and woodman in the cartoon in general. Lengthen the speeches from each one and throw in something else (like the leaf attack) in each one. Repitition.

Like my title says, I started watching this cartoon with some of the highest expectations I've had in a long time. There was a great opportunity for funny in the plot of the cartoon, your tagline was amazing, and the skyrocketing reviews did nothing to diminish my positive feelings.
But I left...disappointed.

There is a great cartoon somewhere in here, but in the meantime - no. Just in the future, remember - humor in repitition.

"Good Random Toon"

submission: yoghurt pants
date: August 29, 2008

I'll make this quick, painless, and bulleted:
Points for:
- Addictive baseline
- Well done (as in, not overdone) randomness
- Catchy vocal tune
- Great animation/animation style

Points taken away:
- Much too short. Throw in another verse.

So, two points for each detail.

Descent II

"More options for players"

submission: Descent II
date: August 27, 2008

A few in-game choices for players would be nice:
- Graphics settings
- Speed settings (too slow for me)
- and, apparently for some, Inversion of Controls.
The game right now is like some vanilla/chocolate twist ice cream. There's some good stuff in game, but very few options, or toppings.
C wut I did thar?
I did enjoy the in-game feel and graphics, however. Good Show.

Pandemic II

"Huge Improvements"

submission: Pandemic II
date: July 20, 2008

If I were to rate this game based on the improvements you made on the last game alone I would vote fie several times a day.
Sadly, this is not the case.
Apparantly the code of this game compromises its realism. I highly doubt that entire countries could be infected before a death occurs, and I really don't think that there's any way to make a virus less visible, despite what this game suggests (i.e. 25 people are out from work due to fever. According to the game, you can't see a fever, but 25 people are still out sick.)
There may be other reality flaws, but in every other aspect the game is spactacularly crafted. Well done.

P.S. I also challenge the morality of this game. It seems to me that a game where the objective is to killl the world can't really have a positive effect anywhere.
